Derek is a senior, political science major and communication minor from Sioux City, Iowa.  He got started in Student Video Productions by working tech on a number of shows his freshman year, eventually becoming co-producer of Iowa Desk & Couch as a sophmore.  That same year, Derek held the position of Operations Manager and was eventually elected to the GM position.  This will be his second year as SVP's General Manager.
